Biomechanical Testing

Biomechanics

In general, biomechanics deals with the natural laws of mechanics with respect to human anatomy. We have specialized our work in the field of spine biomechanics. One important aim in biomechanical research is to determine relative motion between one or more vertebral segments and to estimate the influence of different surgical treatment methods on the motion response. Besides the rather scientific research, biomechanical experiments are

conducted for the pre-clinical validation and optimization of new implants and treatment methods.
The ACES GmbH employs seasoned experts in the area of spine biomechanics, which allows the planning, performance and analysis of experiments with high clinical relevance. For carrying out the tests we utilize a global network of biomechanics labs.

The labs have different test equipment (such as simulators and robots), which allows us to select the lab which best fits for the given task. Because we plan and analyze the studies mostly internally, the lead- and overall timing is in comparison usually very short. The publication right of the results is held exclusively by our client. However, if desired we also prepare and submit publications in peer-reviewed journals.
